Classes

 

Each of our classes are designed to teach at various skill levels. We offer a fun, supportive and relaxing environment to work with clay, either on the pottery wheel or building by hand.  Clay projects can be independently developed or through a step by step process that focuses on technique and creativity. Your unique projects will certainly be used, held, shared and enjoyed. Our class sizes are small to make sure we can meet the unique creative needs of each student.      

Seating is limited.  Advanced registration is required Work can be picked up 6 weeks after the workshop’s end.

Tuesday Wheel Throwing 101 with Jon

Dates: Tuesday Nights 6 sessions 5/21, 5/28, 6/4, 6/11, 6/18, 6/25
Time: 6pm-9pm
Price: $315

Want to learn to “throw” on the potter’s wheel?  Throwing 101 is our beginner’s class but is open for all levels. It is taught in a small group setting with step by step instruction and has room for students to learn and grow. Please click the FAQ link that can be found at the bottom of this page and review the FAQ’s prior to class!

This class includes USE of up to 25 lbs of clay. Unused clay will be recycled by the studio at th end of your session in order to reduce waste and keep the available clay in good working condition. Commerical glazes and firing is included but subject size to limitations. Additional clay is available for purchase, no commercial production permitted.

 

Monday Wheel Throwing 101 with Rachel

Dates: Monday Night 6 sessions 6/3, 6/10, 6/17, 6/24, 7/1, 7/8

POTTERY BOOT CAMP for Beginners!

Serious about wanting to learn to make pottery and have a great foundation to hone your craft? This 8 week, workshop based course, is the perfect introduction to various methods of clay construction. Including: pinch, coil, slab and of course the potter’s wheel. 

Each week there will be various projects that will be demonstrated and taught “step by step” to allow students to explore new techniques and expand their skills.  

If you are unable to attend class you will be allotted 1 independent make-up session. No additional lessons will be provided outside of class time.

*Each student will have the opportunity to make approx. 6 finished clay pieces. This course includes 2 prepaid studio hours to insure all your projects get completed within the 8 weeks.
